Website of the Project: Guild regulations

The historical-critical edition project is part of basic research in the humanities and wanted to publish the German-language guild and craft regulations for artists (painters) for the first time and thus try nothing less than to initiate a change of perspective in art studies, as this largely suppresses the social reality of the artist as a guild member.

The individual documents were managed using the FuD virtual research environment. Additional comments were recorded for the respective cities in which the guilds are located. In summary, they were sorted for the print edition, which was technically realized with LaTex. The TCDH team (Dr. Matthias Bremm and Martin Sievers) supported the editorial process until the publication of the volumes in print.
