Workshop
In an interdisciplinary setting, young scholars of the historical humanities and social sciences exchanged ideas about their current research projects in the summer semester of 2021 under the direction of JProf. Dr. Andreas Lammer and Dr. Eric Burkart.

In digital workshop units, the prospective doctoral students were able to engage in communicative exchange via smaller presentations on the topics of the materials to be worked on, the perspectives guiding the research, and the tools available.

Since August 2018, Carolin Geib has been researching the two-volume Luther Bible edition printed by Hans Lufft in Wittenberg in 1541, which was richly annotated and embellished with pictorial elements by the silk embroiderer Hans Plock (1490-1570) of Mainz.

The research of this magnificent edition is part of the project "Digitization of the Bible of the Silk Embroiderer Hans Plock".

In her presentation last week, she used numerous illustrations to present Hans Plock's various subsequent additions and pointed out the value of this Bible edition, which allows us to gain a unique insight into the Reformation era from a personal perspective.
