At the beginning of the year, Claudine Moulin was appointed to the Scientific Advisory Board of the Herzog August Bibliothek (HAB) Wolfenbüttel by Lower Saxony's Minister of Culture, Björn Thümler. The professor for older German philology has been a member of the board of twelve internationally respected members for five years.

The advisory board advises the management of the Herzog August Library and also makes recommendations to the responsible ministry on matters relating to the HAB. The advice relates in particular to the research profile, questions of research planning and the design of research programs as well as the award of grants. "I am particularly looking forward to this activity, which largely coincides with my main research interests in manuscript studies and early book printing as well as digital humanities," says Professor Moulin.

The Herzog August Library enjoys an excellent international reputation, especially because of its holdings from the Middle Ages and early modern times. The HAB supports research beyond its fundus through scholarship programs, scientific conferences, cultural events and exhibitions of national importance.
