International conference from February 19 to 20, 2015 at KIT in Karlsruhe extends the deadline for submitting posters to November 30, 2014.
Maschinen und Manuskripte Poster

From 19-20 February 2015, the second international Workshop “Machines and Manuscripts. Opportunities for the Automatic Pattern Recognition and Analysis of Historical Documents” will be taking place at the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology, organized by the eCodicology project.

The focus of this workshop will be on technological aspects. Amongst automatic pattern recognition with a particular focus on feature extraction, presentations also include strategies in informational technologies for the analysis of digitized images as well as techniques enabling a visualization of extracted data.

Within the frame of this workshop, a poster session is planned, inviting young researchers in particular to submit contributions on, but not limited to, the following topics:

  • Digital analysis of historical documents
  • Pattern recognition ion historical documents
  • Codicology

Drafts are to be handed in by November 30, 2014.

The workshop is the second in a series of workshops on “Machines and Manuscripts”, organized by the project eCodicology. The project is supported by the BMBF and hosted by the TU Darmstadt, the KIT, as well as the TCDH.
