In the Digital Humanities and especially in Computational Literary Studies, the role of reproducibility of research results in quantitative-empirical research approaches is increasingly being discussed.  Thus, on the one hand, the systematic evaluation of quantitative text analysis methods is gaining in importance, and on the other hand, more and more work is being done to make research processes and the emergence of results more transparent through the publication of code and data.

A joint workshop of Huyghens ING, Cornell University, the infrastructure project DARIAH-DE and the DFG priority programme Computational Literary Studies is therefore now dedicated to the question of the reproducibility of research results in computational literary studies under the title "Replication and Computational Literary Studies".
