Just another turn?

Digitality is omnipresent in our everyday life, and so it is not surprising that digital technologies are increasingly gaining a foothold and being debated in a scientific context. In the humanities, the digital humanities in particular have enabled new methods, questions and perspectives on the research objects themselves, but also brought about a fundamental reflection (sometimes also questioning) the nature and practice of traditional research and education. The lecture deals with the digital change and its challenges for humanities research in Europe and the associated change in scientific communication, publication and evaluation cultures.
