Ceremonial Opening of the Georg Büchner Portal

Georg Büchner

On the occasion of the finalisation of the historical-critical Marburg Bücher Edition and the launching of the Büchner Portal, the Georg Büchner research center at Philipps-University Marburg held a festive celebration on June 27.

The openly accessible online portal offers a collection of literary works, essays, and other documents, as well as richly illustrated timelines on the life and work of the famous Vormärz author Georg Büchner. Numerous linkings of informative introductions with texts and images enable an individual and intuitive access to the research on Büchner for both academics, students, teachers, and everybody else interested. The already numerous accessible data and material will be enlarged in the future.

The Büchner Portal has been financed with the support of the Hessen Ministry of Science and Art and supported conceptually by the Trier Center for Digital Humanities.

For further information, see the website of the Georg Büchner research centre.
