Shortly before the 201th birthday of the poet, the Heinrich-Heine-Institute Düsseldorf introduced the Grabbe Portal, project in cooperation with the Lippische State Library and the TCDH.

The online portal prepares the partial estate of Grabbe at the Heinrich-Heine-Institute and the collection of autographs, first editions, and other documents of the poet’s environment which can be found at the Lippische State Library. For the portal, facsimiles of Grabbe manuscripts, letters, and numerous other materials are linked with the digitisation of the historical-critical edition of Grabbe’s complete works. The edition was established particularly for this occasion.

Ute Schäfer, Minister for Family, Children, Youth, Culture and Sport, appreciated the Grabbe portal at its initiation in September as “an example for the possibility of not only preserving the cultural heritage, but also making it accessible for many.”
