Establishment of a programming group
Basic programming skills are taught
27.11.2014 | General
The Trier Center for Digital Humanities launched a Programming Group to teach and train fundamental knowledge in programming for the Digital Humanities.
Smaller programming exercises are assigned biweekly to be worked on individually which will then be talked through at the next meeting. The aim of this group is to equip researchers with the basic knowledge of aspects in software development and its practical usage.
The Programming Group is open to those interested from all departments, yet a basic knowledge of a object-oriented programming language is required. Set exercises will mostly come form the field of Digital Humanities.
Group and exercises are organised by knauth [at] uni-trier.de (Jürgen Knauth).
All interested are warmly invited.
