At the first conference “Digital Humanities – methodischer Brückenschlag oder ‘feindliche Übernahme’? Chancen und Risiken der Begegnung zwischen Geisteswissenschaften und Informatik” (DH – Methodological Bridging or ‘Contested Takeover’? Chances and Risks in Bringing Together the Humanities and Computational Sciences) held by the association of Digital Humanities im deutschsprachigen Raum (Digital Humanities in German speaking countries, DHd) from the 25th – 28th March 2014 in Passau, the Trier Center for Digital Humanities presented several of its projects. More than 350 participants with more than 100 contributions attest the success of this newly established event.
As the association’s vice president and member of the programme committee, Prof Dr Claudine Moulin not only played a key role in the conference organization, but also took the chair for two sections. Dr Vera Hildenbrandt, Executive Director of the TCDH, lead through another section. Furthermore, the workshop on the project “XML-Print” was highly frequented, and both “eCodicology” and “SeNeReKo” were presented in detail in the section “Informatik und Text”. Additionally, the project “Epistolary Networks | Exilnetz 33” was awarded a 1st price for its presentation within the framework of the poster session.
