Prof. Dr. Claudine Moulin elected first chairwoman of the Association Digital Humanities in German-speaking countries (DHd).

At the second annual DHd conference 2015 of the association of Digital Humanities im deutschsprachigen Raum (DHd) (Digital Humanities in the German-speaking countries), organised by the Austrian Center for Digital Humanities at the University of Graz from February 23-27 2015, Prof Dr Claudine Moulin has been elected Chair of the association.

Claudine Moulin is holds a professorship for Older German Philology at the University of Trier and has been the Academic Director of the Trier Center for Digital Humanities since 2003. In the past, Prof Moulin has held the position of Vice President of the DHd. She takes over the position as President from Prof Dr Jan Christoph Meister; Dr Thomas Stäcker (Herzog August Library, Wolfenbüttel) has been elected Vice President.

The association has been founded in 2012 and sees itself as a forum and formal representative institution for the interests of those engaged in Digital Humanities in the German-speaking countries. As a regional association, DHd is associated with the European Association of Digital Humanities (EADH) and is, thus, also represented in the international holding organisation Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO). The association holds an annual scientific conference on current topics in the fild of Digital Humanities and counts more than 180 members (Feb 2015).
