On the occasion of the second birthday of de.hypotheses.org, a blogging platform for the German speaking Humanities and Social Studies, the most popular, most informative, and most interesting blogs and entries have been awarded. Both the audience and a jury chose this year’s winners.
Prof Dr Claudine Moulin’s entry on “Codices im Netz – Die Digitalisierung mittelalterlicher Handschriften und ihre Konsequenzen”on the annotation.hypotheses.org blog ranked 3rd in the jury’s choice of „Blogbeiträge aus dem Slider“. The jury was a group of members of the scientific advisory board, editorial staff, and community management, who chose their top 3 out of 45 entries.

As noted in the conference report, Prof Moulin wrote ‘a particularly programmatic article portraying the Digital Humanities as just as much of a normal case as other fields of study, refreshingly unagitated, and close to the facts.’ In reference to various research bases, Prof Moulin explains the chances and challenges in the usage of digitisations.
