On January 16, 2025, the DFG-funded project "Beyond Words – Semantic and Multicomponent Distinctive Features for the Study of Literary Subgenres" will host a workshop on subgenres of the French and English novel at the Trier Center for Digital Humanities of the University of Trier.

Experts in Romance and English Studies are invited to discuss and refine qualitative genre profiles for the subgenres of Science Fiction, Sentimental Novel, Crime Fiction, Littérature Blanche, and Historical Novel.
Keynote presentations will shed light on aspects of the mentioned subgenres.
