Dr. Élodie RipollThe lecture series “Praxis der Digital Humanities” will take place within the framework of the Master 'Digital Humanities'. It is open to all interested parties, also from other courses or from outside the university, and will be designed as a video conference with lecture and discussion possibility.
Caricatures have been influencing the formation of political opinion for over 500 years, and even today caricaturists still draw on ancient text-image patterns such as the animal fable and supplement them with new ones, for example from comics, film or social media. The lecture will demonstrate how such patterns can be made visible on a digital platform, what the challenges are and which tools developed at the TCDH can help.
