The twenty-first international conference of the Working Group for Germanic Edition will take place from 11 to 14 February 2026 at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg. Dr Claudia Bamberg and Dr Thomas Burch will be giving presentations as part of the conference programme.

The specialist group for independent research institutes within the Society for Music Research and the Working Group for Philosophical Editions are also involved. The Interdisciplinary Centre for Edition Sciences (IZED) at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg is also cooperating on site.
The conference has both an international and interdisciplinary focus. It is therefore aimed at those interested in editing from the fields of literature, music, culture, history, social sciences, visual arts, film and media studies, philosophy, art history and digital humanities.

The conference is being held with financial support from the Working Group for Germanic Studies Editions and the Luise Prell Foundation at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg.
