In the project "Modernity as Loss? Textual Structures, Variants, and Cycles of Literary Cultural Critique" at the Trier Center for Digital Humanities (TCDH), we are interested in the description, classification and automatic recognition of critique and worldviews in narrative texts. For the NLP-based analysis and visualization of text data, we are looking for a student assistant to support us 28h per month.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis of corpora using word and sentence embeddings, among others
- Data visualization in Python
- Experiments with LLMs
- NLP standard tasks

Requirements profile & qualifications
- Very good knowledge of Python
- Computational linguistics or DH background
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with more complex data structures
- Accuracy, structured approach, ability to work independently
- German language skills are an advantage
