The volume collects contributions from the colloquium "Großlandschaftliche Dialektwörterbücher zwischen Linguistik und Landeskunde," organized by the Commission for Dialect and Name Research from October 28 to 29, 2021, in Münster. The occasion was the completion of the five-volume "Westfälisches Wörterbuch" in 2021. The seven contributions focus on the peculiarities and perspectives of these scientific documentations of dialectal vocabularies. They highlight the sources of the dialect dictionaries, the inclusion of "ethnological" and regional information in the word entries, possibilities for linguistic reuse of the dictionary data and archives, as well as questions of digitization and networking of these multi-volume reference works.
