XX International EURALEX Congress: “Dictionaries and Society”

The program includes varied plenary lectures, thematic sections, software demonstrations, workshops before the congress starts and presentations of new projects and young researchers' work. The XX EURALEX Congress is an ideal forum for discussion and exchange, and also offers the opportunity to meet like-minded colleagues from around the world.

The congress is organized by the Department of Lexicology of the Leibniz Institute for the German Language (IDS), which was founded in 1964. The staff of the Lexicology Department conducts research on issues of Internet lexicographic practice and metalexicographic studies. Other research topics include lexicological research on lexical change, lexical language contact, quantitative lexicology, syntagmatic aspects of the lexicon, and social aspects of vocabulary.
