Science communication is particularly focused on memorability and comprehensibility, and at the same time faces the challenge of reducing the high complexity of scientific knowledge. Metaphors - expressions in which one word is transferred from its context of meaning to another and used as an image - play a prominent role here. The WissKomm Academy invites experts from different disciplines to bring observations on the use of metaphors in science communication from their everyday research and to exchange their respective positions.
