Prof. Dr. Anne Bohnenkamp-Renken, Prof. Dr. Alexandra Busch, Prof. Dr. Volker Mosbrugger and Mag. Iris Ott will discuss how science communication takes place in museums today and what challenges exist. The event will be moderated by science journalist Dr. Jan-Martin Wiarda.

What makes a museum a researching museum? How is the research that takes place in museums communicated? What special features, what challenges, what opportunities for society and science does science communication in museums exhibit? These and other questions will be discussed by Prof. Dr. Anne Bohnenkamp-Renken (Director of the Freies Deutsches Hochstift/ Frankfurt Goethe Museum and member of the Academy of Sciences and Literature | Mainz), Prof. Dr. Alexandra Busch (Director General of the Roman-Germanic Central Museum in Mainz and spokesperson for the research museums of the Leibniz Association), Prof. Dr. Dr. Volker Mosbrugger (former Director General of the Senckenberg Gesellschaft für Naturforschung and member of the Academy of Sciences and Literature | Mainz) and Mag. Iris Ott (Head of the Science Communication Department of the Natural History Museum in Vienna). The panel discussion will be moderated by science journalist Dr. Jan-Martin Wiarda.
