Annual Conference of the German Association for Applied Linguistics (GAL)

At the GAL Conference 2024, you can look forward to a wide range of session topics, which will be explored and discussed in numerous individual presentations. In addition, there will be a poster session and, of course, opportunities for networking during the Conference Warm-Up and Conference Dinner! The program will be further enriched by a hands-on forum focused on "Digital Infrastructures for Applied Linguistics" (DIAL).

During the three-day GAL Conference 2024, all 15 GAL sections will convene to discuss their specific topics. The sessions of each section will not be presented entirely in sync with one another: each section will have multiple 90-minute conference slots, scheduled in such a way that no more than eight GAL sections will be meeting concurrently.

This scheduling will allow you to attend sessions from various GAL sections, offering a diverse insight into current research questions, discussions, and perspectives within Applied Linguistics. Opportunities to switch between sections are provided by the coffee and snack breaks, which are firmly integrated into the schedule.
